Wan Fung Art Gallery proudly presents to you the “Modern Art Exhibition of Lam Shiu Chi”. The exhibition will showcase more than 60 female figure paintings by Lam Shiu Chi. The opening reception of the “Modern Art Exhibition of Lam Shiu Chi” will start on 18 December (Saturday) at 3pm. We cordially invite all art lovers to come and meet the artist and appreciate everlasting beauty.

The beauty of women is an everlasting theme. The images of classic figures, such as Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, are across times, nationalities and races, which are still living in our hearts. Time may change our appearances and even wipes away purity. Yet, artists can preserve both the outer and inner beauty of women eternally using inks and colors. Lam’s paintings are impressive and memorable. She paints a diverse range of themes and with these themes the female characters manifest joy, elegance and demureness, which are all essential feminine characteristics.

People say that women are complex and difficult to understand. The women in the works of Lam Shiu Chi are shy, as if they are hiding many stories behind. Probably only female artists like Lam are capable of drawing such delicateness of women's hearts.
