Food Art Festival ─ “Savor Art!” Exhibition
by K11 Art Foundation
Location: K11 Art Mall
Date: 5 Aug - 17 Oct 2010

FAF highlights include the “Savor Art Exhibition”, featuring an exciting collaboration between Hulu Culture and K-11. The exhibition aims to showcase local food culture through the works of seven artists, namely Craig Au Yeung, Phoebe Hui, Hanison Lau, Alexis Ip, Carl Cheng, Stella So and Chan Pak Sing. They make use of the four tastes – sour, sweet, bitter and spicy – to show food culture and living art. Ordinary food ingredients or elements are turned into the raw materials of art which are displayed in an extraordinary way. The artists try to stimulate our taste buds with visual sensory and create a unique visual association, giving sparkles to tangible food aesthetics and intangible food culture.

Hanison Lau - Sweetness Comes after Bitterness
Stella So - Sour and Spicy Ginger-Vinegar
Alexis Ip - Old Shop Series

The exhibition “Savor Art” features 18 exhibits in multi art forms relating to tastes. Visitors can experience a gourmet tour through the exhibition and freely enjoy the visual banquet of local food culture.
