Bringing “Art. People. Nature” together in harmony, K11 invites you to the dance party of the 19th century in Europe this Christmas, namely Renoir Christmas Dance picturing the setting of the masterpiece Le Bal au Moulin de la Galette by the leading French impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir for everyone to experience around K11 Art Mall in Hong Kong.
Renoir Christmas Dance bring you to the 19th century Aristocratic Party
The main decoration in the Piazza depicts Renoir’s most renowned painting, Le Bal au Moulin de la Galette (known as Dance at Le moulin de la Galette), which has been recorded as 5th most expensive painting ever sold as of 2009, as the 3D art installation from 11 November 2011 to 1 January 2012. Made with dazzling colors, the huge gold easel will lead people to shuttle the artistic conception and “participate” themselves into the 19th century aristocratic Christmas party.
Harmonized in the decoration will be 3 pairs of dancing sculptures inspired by Renoir’s signature artworks: Country Dance, City Dance and Dance at Bougival together with a 18 feet tall Rosé Christmas tree made with thousands of velvet roses to enrich Renoir’s backyard with a touch of romanticism in this season.
As a highlight, our Renoir journey will bring you to an Interactive Art Gallery that allows you to take part and become the protagonist and own your masterpiece at K11.
