New Gallery on Old Bailey presents Lei Zhen Hua Solo Exhibition in May 2010. The landscapes of Lei Zhen Hua offer a refreshing and original point of view in relation to the recent history of Chinese painting.
His oil paintings are understood from an Eastern or Western perspective, their presence as form and content indicate a clear sense of idealism and are at home in either hemisphere. Lei’s works offer an exciting visionary concept of nature and the landscape.Lei was born in Xi’an, currently lives in Shanghai, where he works as a professional artist. Working in oil on canvas, the painter’s “earth series” main colours scheme is yellow ochre, earth red, and chocolate; black lines often are used to divide the coloured plane.Other themes are much more abstract and be inspired by Chinese-style scenery paintings and calligraphy. The artist will be present at the opening party.
