by I/O (Input/Output)
Location: I/O (Input/Output)
Artist(s): Teddy LO, D-Fuse, *LLND
Date: 19 Aug - 19 Nov 2011

Input/Output is delighted to present D-FUSE, *LLND and Teddy Lo’s cutting-edge artworks in our new media art showcase. In Brilliant City, stunning images of the city’s rapidly changing landscape are captured by the artist group D-FUSE from the UK, added with powerful sound effects by musician Matthias Kispert. French artist group *LLND aims to explore artistic resonance of everyone through sensory experiences thus the participative sculpture Brainwave is constructed for audience to interact with the artists’ deepest part of consciousness. LED artist Teddy Lo infused his inspiration from worldly famous architects into his newest LED sculptures Shades Dynamicism and Alarm of Hue, in which real time data is presented as a perfect blend of technology and modern aesthetics.

About the artists
D-Fuse is a group of artists and designers from varied disciplines, who work across a range of creative media from Art and Architecture, to Live A/V Performances to Mobile Media, Web, Print, TV and Film. D-Fuse work in collaboration with a wide variety of musicians, ranging from Beck to electronic artists Scanner and Leftfield, to contemporary classical Ensemble Alter Ego.

*LLND is an artist group found by the two artists Laurent Lettrée and Nathalie Delpech. Laurent as an explorer of the sound and his multiple frequencies and rhythmic variations, he composes by using analogical machines and objects which he diverts and transforms into instruments. With Nathalie’s video and graphic as poetic meeting of the psychadelism and surrealism, their works are both visually and sensibly breath-taking.

Teddy Lo began his exploration of LED as a mode of artistic expression, while studying advertising design at the Art Centre College of Design In Pasadena, CA. Upon graduation, Lo relocated to New York City, and soon established himself as an artist, while leading numerous design and advertising projects for technology companies around the world.
