Natural landscapes are similar to our lives, with cyclic phenomena like weather and seasons similar to changing human emotions.
'The Garden of Joy' exhibition features four series of works by veteran painter Lucia Cheung, namely ‘In Search of Landscape’, ‘Song Offering’, ‘Invisible City’ and ‘Garden of Joy’. In her works, Cheung has endeavoured to elicit her personal philosophy of landscape and happiness. Such happiness is the essential element of the artist’s own garden of joy. Whether such a garden is built on paper or canvas, or in the landscape of this world, it can equally be a source of happiness in life.
