Sino Group’s ‘Art in Hong Kong’ is bringing art to two shops in Citywalk that have been converted into exhibition galleries. Citywalk, Hong Kong’s first evergreen shopping mall, is an iconic Tsuen Wan landmark located on Yeung Uk Road. Featuring a vertical garden, Citywalk offers shoppers a fun and inspiring environment.
Sino Group’s ‘Art in Hong Kong’ is proud to present a series of solo exhibitions titled ‘Citywalk’, featuring works by five young local artists. With the first two completed in November this year, the exhibitions reflect aspects of city life through various art forms. The final three exhibitions are open from December till January next year, and titled ‘Continuation’ – Works by Yuen Yuen Ho, ‘Growth’ – Works by Lo Wai Hang and ‘Re-work’ – Works by Lo King Yee.
In ‘Continuation’, artist Yuen Yuen Ho will showcase a series of acrylic paintings on board. Her works blend characteristics of Chinese and Western landscape painting, with which she explores the meaning of tradition and continuation of life. Lo Wai Hang depicts faces of children in a vibrant colour background and explores the impact of parent’s expectations on the development of children. ‘Re-work’ will feature prints by Lo King Yee. She is keen on turning mundane daily objects into art, which she sees as a reworking process. The three young artists will take audiences on a beautiful journey in Citywalk.
