Sino Group’s ‘Art in Hong Kong’ presents
the Citywalk Exhibition Series – local artist solos in a brand new art space

Sino Group’s ‘Art in Hong Kong’ is bringing art to two shops in Citywalk, that have been temporarily converted to exhibition galleries. Citywalk, Hong Kong’s first evergreen shopping mall, is an iconic Tsuen Wan landmark located on Yeung Uk Road. Featuring a vertical garden, Citywalk offers shoppers a fun and inspiring environment.

After the first exhibition ‘HANDMADE from the city’, a series of solo exhibitions titled ‘Citywalk’ will feature works by five local artists. Beginning November this year the exhibitions will reflect aspects of city life in various art forms. The first two of the series, ‘Daily Life – Works by Tse Lok Lun Laurence’ and ‘Superstitions – Works by Tam Kar Wing’ will respectively showcase photography and soft toy installations.

In ‘Daily Life’ Tse makes use of repetitive photographs to express his idea of the repeated human life cycle. He seeks variety in the monotone. Tam employs the tiger image from traditional Chinese ritual to create a series of soft toys, bridging the gap between the legend and our daily life. The ‘Citywalk’ Exhibition Series will open on 31 October (Sat).
