Michael Yamashita is a renowned National Geographic photographer, best known for his work on major assignments including the journeys of Marco Polo and Zheng He, the Great Wall of China and almost every aspect of Japanese life from Basho to fish markets. Yamashita has also spent many years capturing the beauty and spirit of the untouched natural world, and we are fortunate that he has now decided to share this important aspect of his work through his new exhibition, The Essence of Life.
