Baoqu Tang Gallery of Art proudly presents "Lu Yanguang Solo Exhibition" in November 2009. Sixty selected pieces will be showcased in this exhibition. Lu Yanguang, originated from Guangzhou, is one of the representatives of the "New Literati Paintings". He enjoys a high reputation over China and his works are widely exhibited nationally. He is now one of the most renowned artists in contemporary Chinese ink paintings. He is the Vice-chairman of Guangdong Province Artists Association, the Vice-president of Guangzhou CPPCC Chinese Painting Academy, former Chairman of the Guangzhou Municipal Artist Association and former Director of the Guangzhou Art Museum.

In the 1970s and 1980s, Lu Yanguang built up his reputation through his sequential art. Following the study of ancient Chinese paintings in the past decades, he consolidated his foundation of various painting skills and took in the fine essence of historical painting masters. Embraced by an aroma of grace, Lu's landscape paintings delicately display a tactile sense of touch. We can see the haze and clouds intertwined with the mountains, and we can almost feel the breeze wandering through the gorges. This is the world of Lu Yanguang, a wonderland conveyed by the artist.
