Recycling Love: A Pop-up Store of the Most Precious Objects from Our Beloved Artists is a project presented by Hong Kong based imaginary collective FiRU and hosted by the Blue Room, (annex space of Blue Lotus Gallery).
Collective FiRU is setting up a pop-up store at the Blue Room inviting over 20 local artists to leave personal non-art objects with them for sale. Every object comes along with a statement from the artist. Artists donate an object, tell the story behind it: be it fictional or true, and set the price.
Recycling Love is a barter experiment exploring the ideas of representation and discard, fiction and fact, as well as reflecting on the value of art in a playful manner.
