Ms Saint-Pé will be exhibiting “Comme chien et chat” (French for ‘like cats and dogs’) at the vacant little shops at the entrance of exit J at Central MTR, otherwise known as ‘MTR – Art-tube”. Chinese and French are two distinct cultures with two very different languages. It is from these differences that Ms Saint-Pé draws her inspiration. Emilie expresses French idioms with Chinese characters through playing with graphic compositions, laying out the Chinese characters in visuals related to the idiom expressed. By this, she aims to build a bridge between her native country France, and her new home in China.
