Lai’s work is both colourful and abstract. Alice combines the Chinese concept of negative space with western painting techniques and, she says, expresses her love for life.

Lai graduated from the Chinese University in 2000 and was awarded a special scholarship at the Leeds University where she obtained her Masters of Arts in 2006.
