Stamps-Carving is a heat-booming in Hong Kong in the Handmade Art World after inviting several Japanese Stamps Artists by holding exhibitions since 2008’. The Origin of Stamps-Carving is from Japan, we called it as “Keshigomu-Hanko”. “Keshigomu” means an eraser/a rubber; “Hanko” means a stamp in Japanese. It is a very interesting hobby using a designer knife to carve the images out from the rubber.
There are some translated Stamps-Carving Books are well-known to the Hong Kong people published by Ms. Tomoko Tsukui, the Founder of Stamps-Carving in Japan. It is not only a popular hobby in Japan, but also one of a kind beautiful art piece handmade by the artist obtained an official qualification issued by Hinodewashi Co., Ltd.
