Sept Bleus Hat Designer - Three days Exhibition in Hong Kong

SEPT BLEUS means “Seven Blues” in English.

Blue colour is the Designer’s favourite color. She is also attracted by the image of beauty of purity and dignity aroused by the color blue. Wherever she feels blue, depressed or lonely, some funny ideas suddenly occur to her and make her feeling better. Therefore, Blue has been the most important source of her imagination and creative ideas.

As of Sept, “seven” in English, she is fond of Seven of all numbers and her name Nanae means “seven layers”; thus “Sept Bleus” is made by two of her favourite words.

The Hat Creator/Designer, Ms. Nanae Matsunobu, is one of the students of Akio Hirata Hat School (Mr. Akio Hirata is the most influential milliner in Japan. He has collaborated with many of Japan’s finest fashion designers including Yohji Yamamoto, Rei Kawakubo and Hanae Mori. He has designed for the wives of heads of state in Japan, which has brought his work to the attention of an international clientele.)

Sept Bleus’ products are sold at various department stores and select shops in Japan. She holds exhibitions of hats in form of installation on the regular basis to suggest that hats should be enjoyed in many ways. She will hold her three days Exhibition in Hong Kong scheduled on September 16th to 18th, 2011, she will share her way of creating the works that responding openly to something which happens to attract her attention at anytime, which she pursues to the end. It could be a material, form or idea, depends on the occasions.
