Born in Chongqing, China, the 25-year-old young artist was graduated in 2004 at the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. She is now living in Beijing.
Her paintings are strong and powerful, not just it is because of the size of the paintings, but also her excellent technique on handling colors. The idea of painting colorful lighting effect is actually a reflection of Li’s obsession towards lights. Using real photos as a model, Li paints them into similar but abstract image on canvas, so as to share her ideas and feelings with the audience.
