Red Elation Gallery is delighted to present ‘Clay Players’, a group exhibition by the Contemporary Ceramic Society (H.K.). It showcases selected ceramic works by fourteen established local artists. About “the Contemporary Ceramic Society (H.K.)”
Founded in 1992 by seven ceramic artists, the Contemporary Ceramic Society (H.K.) currently has a membership of 30. It aims to promote contemporary ceramics in Hong Kong and overseas by organising various activities and exhibitions. In recent years, the society has proactively encouraged, attracted and invited competent local artists to join the Society. There is currently an increase in membership and public recognition of its professional status in Hong Kong. The Society is enthusiastic in teaming up with organizations to undertake collaborative projects through which the sharing of ideas and expertise is most valued. Concurrently, the Society is keen on organizing education programmes to promote the teaching and learning of ceramic art in Hong Kong.
