Zhu Pu was born in China’s Jiangsu Province in 1936. In 1964, he graduated from the oil painting department of Zhejiang Academy of Art (now the China Academy of Art). An artist and art theorist, Zhu is currently a member of the China Artists Association (Shanghai Branch) and the vice secretary general of Shanghai Lin Feng Mian Research Institute. Zhu specializes in painting, calligraphy, sculpture and art history. He has exhibited in America, Japan and Belgium.
