by agnès b.'s Librairie Galerie
Location: agnès b.’s LIBRAIRIE GALERIE
Date: 26 Mar - 27 Jun 2009

Founded by Tsui Hark and Nansun Shi in 1984, the Film Workshop will always be associated with the golden age of Hong Kong cinema. Its 50 productions include classics like A Better Tomorrow, A Chinese Ghost Story, Swordsman, and Once Upon A Time in China. At this memorable time of 25th anniversary, the HKIFF will present a retrospective of its works, and collaborate with agnès b.’s LIBRAIRIE GALERIE for an exhibition as a recognition to the contribution of Film Workshop to Hong Kong cinema.

Exhibition includes the original film scripts, props, costumes, trophies, classic stills, posters, interview clippings, and for the first time ever, displays of the original manuscript from Tsui Hark’s personal collection.

There will also be a special limited edition catalogue with an exhaustive index of Film Workshop’s productions over the past 25 years, including commentary from the people behind the scenes, as well as interviews with William Chang, John Woo, Herman Yau, Marco Mak, Chung-Man Yee, Charlie Yeung, Brigitte Lin, etc. Pre-launch at the agnès b.’s LIBRAIRIE GALERIE. Don't miss it!
