Paul ROBINSON biography | artworks | events

Paul Robinson was born in Los Angeles in 1964. During his junior year at UCLA, he moved to Paris for six months to shoot fashion. This incredible experience not only inspired him to see the world, but also to capture it on film. Over the years, Paul’s work has been in popular magazines ranging from Detour, Details and Interview, to ad campaigns for Architectural Digest and House and Garden.

He had his first exhibition, “Voyeur” in 1995, in New York and Los Angeles. Both shows proved to be very successful as have the ones
that have followed. “E” Entertainment did several different segments on Paul as they documented the year and a half that he spent shooting his “Manfleur” series.

His series include “Voyeur”, “Manfleur”, “Loveeverlast”, “Reflections”, “Between Clarity”, and this current series, “In Camera”.
In this series ‘In Camera’ he combines subjects in double, triple and quadruple exposure to create an abstract series of
painterly images. The effect is varied, sometimes lyrical and mysterious, sometimes bold and striking. They are indeed beautiful.
And striking. And original.

Paul’s client list and collector’s of his work includes Sydney Pollack, Renee Zellweger, Graham Norton, Angela Missoni, Vivica A. Fox, Jennifer Tilly, Melissa Etheridge, Jason Priestley Paul Robinson currently lives in Los Angeles and works regularly in the U.K. and Europe.
