Paris seemed to be a little bit out of focus. Nevertheless, it has its impact: there are artistic works that play with the connotation of ‘Paris’. Besides the work ‘Paris Syndrome’ by Jun Yang, Michael Wolf has recently taken Paris for his approach to the world. While staying in Paris Michael Wolf did not leave the house to explore the city. Instead, he explored it via Google Earth. See him sitting in his room using the computer to get his first-hand experience on the urban environment. The results are photographs taken from the monitor.
As Netherlands-based international photography magazine ‘foam’ presents these works in their Spring issue, Goethe-Institut Hongkong shows exactly these works covered by the magazine from March 3 to 23, 2010 in its Goethe-Gallery. The issue will come out on March 12, 2010 (issue 22, Spring 2010). A meet the artist session will be held on March 16, 2010 (Tue) from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Goethe-Institut Hongkong.
