Tsui Tin Yun received a solid foundation in drawing and oil painting in various celebrated art studios in Shanghai at an early age. Later he studied art and design at university and worked in Shanghai in the field of art and commercial design.

1970-1980 Participated in Shanghai and national exhibitions
Taught drawing, design, sculpture and ceramics at Shanghai University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai Business School.
1985 Won gold medal at Shanghai Business School
1986 Moved to Hong Kong
