Ai Xuan is a painter of the Beijing Art Academy and a member of the Chinese Artists' Association. He was born in 1947 in Hebei Province. In 1967 he graduated from the Middle School attached to Central Academy of Fine Arts.
In 1987, he went to the U.S. as a visiting scholar at O.C.U. and stayed there for one year. During his stay in the States, he held solo exhibitions; His paintings were sold in the auction sales for restoring the Great Wall and Venice, sponsored by the Sothebys. Ai's works have been featured in articles in the "New York Times". "Wall Street Journal", "Art Journal" and the "Christian Science Monitor". He also met famous American artist Mr. Andrew Wise.
Many of his works have been collected by art lovers, galleries and museums in the United States, Canada, Germany, Japan and France.
