Wonderland Trip by K-NARF
from Clear Edition Website

It is under the artist name K-NARF that he creates his photograffiti, inspired by the codes and techniques used by street artists. K-NARF explores photography in completely new dimensions and techniques, his photograffiti take photography back to the streets in a way that has never been seen before.

K-NARF spent two years taking his young son to old amusement parks from the 70’s and 80’s in Tokyo. Influ- enced by this special period of his life as both artist and father, he created a series of photograffiti using the pho- tographs he took in these amusement parks with his besides him.

This result in a fantastic mix of energy, colors, but also nostalgia as it can be interpreted as a documentary on a vanishing side of Tokyo.

The book itself is made with a special binding system, which was designed by the artist, where two separate books are put together as one. The book opens from the center so the two girraffs face each other, and is opened two pages togheter. The viewer will also be able to play with the book, creating their own mixture of PHOTO- GRAFFITI.
