Heart Touching Photographs Expressing Lyricism and Vividness of the Scene
While modern photography is mainly characterized by artificial and instant images with digital camera, a French photographer, Marc Riboud, conveys analog emotion through his photographs by capturing fleeting moments in life, His unique style has been established by working with Magnum founders, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Capa, after he joined the Magnum photo agency in 1953.
The exhibition features his masterpieces reflecting the social dynamics in 1950s and 1960s. For the event, his two major works, Girl with a Flower (1967), one of the most celebrated anti-war pictures taken during the Vietnam War, and Eiffel Tower Painter (1953) depicting a man painting the famous structure, have been specially printed in larger size (120x180cm).
