SOAF, Seoul Open Art Fair, one of the most promising and second largest contemporary art fair in Korea is welcoming its fifth anniversary this April. Since 2006, SOAF has performed on bringing new possibilities to local art fairs by giving attention and support to young galleries. Today, SOAF’s attempt has been well appreciated and recognized as the rising innovative event in the field.

The fourth edition of SOAF has built a success by attracting 40,000 audiences and 70 leading Korean art galleries. Each year we experience a growth in the quantity of participants, which this year we are expecting 80 prestigious Korean galleries to together shaping another winning fair that can develop future progress. Recently, SOAF has actively involved in proposing art projects, such as “One Million Won Special Exhibition” and “The Rising Artists Exhibition” to produce ongoing cultural influences in the local art market.

SOAF will be held at Coex Convention Hall to jointly provide an art destination for art lovers and collectors, which such platform will assist to reconnect those who have discouraged from the economic downturn.
