Advertising Museum Tokyo (ADMT) is the only museum in Japan dedicated to the promotion of studies in, and popular understanding of, advertising and marketing.

The Museum was established in December 2002 by Yoshida Hideo Memorial Foundation marking the centennial of the birth of the late Yoshida Hideo, fourth president of Dentsu.

Visitors to ADMT will find an extensive display of advertisements and AD Library allowing access to literature on advertising and marketing.

The display space is divided into permanent exhibits tracking the history of advertising in Japan, and to temporary exhibitions where award winning advertisements, in Japan and overseas, and items from the museum's collection are exhibited.

Roughly twelve temporary exhibitions are held each year while the items in the permanent exhibition area are replaced from time to time.

The Museum possesses approximately 150,000 pieces of digitally archived advertisements, ranging from the Nishiki-e (colored woodblock prints) dating back to Edo period to the latest TV commercials. Many are on display and all are accessible for viewing from the terminals in AD Library.

Opening Hours: Tuesday - Friday 11:00 to 18:30 (admission closed at 18:00), Saturday, holiday 11:00 to 16:30 (admission closed at 16:00).  Closed on Sunday and Monday (Sunday and Tuesday if Monday falls on a holiday).
