Hoo-Chang Lee has worked on the shape of man with glass. Especially what he is interested in is one's eyes, which is clue of his concern about ontological question for human being.
Existence of 'I' can be identified by others' gaze. The artist considers the matter of 'my' existence and situation as my view on others is juxtaposed with others' view. Using glass, he tries to solve a question about the view. Transparency of glass reveals an invisible world in mind unlike other sculptures. The artist sublimates his sculptures as an object of aesthetics into philosophical thinking.
