Alcaston Gallery is delighted to present an virtual exhibition of selected paintings by exciting Queensland artist Naomi Hobson.
Drawing inspiration from her rich landscape around Coen in far-north Queenland, combined with a vibrant colour palette, these paintings present a unique and dynamic depiction of county and culture.
Naomi Hobson was a finalist in the 2013 Gold Coast Art Prize and her artwork has been acquired by the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, the US Consul General, Brisbane and the Honorable Tony Abbott MP, Prime Minister of Australia Collection. In 2014 Naomi exhibited with Alcaston Gallery at Cairns Indigenous Art Fair, and was a finalist in the 2014 Telstra National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Award. In 2015 she has been honoured to exhibit in GOMA Q at the Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, a major contemporary art exhibition.
