Gallery Archana was established in December 2004, through a series of coincidences. A chance encounter with an artist who was looking for a gallery to show his works together with an offer of a quaint and affordable rental space made the prospect of starting the gallery very attractive. But most important was the enjoyment in looking for and collecting art works.

Since its inception, a diverse collection of art has been exhibited at the gallery.  With no one underlying theme nor a particular genre by which the works could be classified, they have stood out for their uniqueness and excellence. Paintings by prominent artists from the major schools of art in India have transcended geographical boundaries to an appreciative viewer in Malaysia. Likewise Malaysian art has found its way into several Indian homes.  In both cases, the viewer could identify with the art and be emotionally motivated by what they saw.

This then is their on going quest, to continue bringing the very best of art to viewers.
