Gallerie Alternatives, first of its kind at DLF Qutab Enclave, Gurgaon was inaugurated in Jan. 99. A close interaction with each of the artists has led towards a good selection of works .The exhibitions are received very well by local people, art critics and media. Fine Art and Theatre workshops are organized by the help of Artists – Kavita Jaiswal and Rajeev Gaursingh in their respective fields which opened up horizons for children. The children interacted freely with artists. In April 2001 there was the Alternatives-British Council and Cambridge University collaboration on- the - spot painting competition where participation was so high, that the participants had to be divided into three categories. In Oct. 2002 Gallerie Alternatives in collaboration with HSBC Bank had an exhibition of leading artists of India at their premium branch in Gurgaon..

The Gallery has displayed drawings, paintings and sculptures by many artists - M.F. Husain S.H. raza, V.S. Gaitonde, Ram Kumar, F.N. Souza, Latika Katt, Abanindarnath Tagore, Krishen Khanna, K.Laxma Goud, Tyeb Mehta, Rameshwar Broota, Rajeev Lochan, K.S. Radhakrishnan, Balbir Singh Katt, Jatin Das, Shobha Broota, Prithpal Singh Ladi, Shuvaprassna, A. Ramachandran, Shipra Bhattacharya, Arpita Singh, Manisha Gera Baswani, Mahendra Pandya, Navjot Altaf, Arpana Caur, Shamshad Husain, Anupam Sud, P.Khemraj, Amitava Das, Kanchan Chander, Jhupu Adhikari, Narendra Pal Singh, Jagdish Chander, Nitasha Jainee, Ingrid Pitzer, Sanjeev Verma, Deepak Tandon, Sudhansu Sutar, Suman Choudhary and many other artists.

In Jan. 2003 the gallery hosted an Indo-Danish Painters Meet introducing four senior Danish artists – Anne Vilsboell, Else Husted Kjaer, Lone Lindorff and Hellen Lassen curated by Mona Lauridson & Fawad Tamkanat along with four Indian Artists -Fawad Tamkanat , Stanley Suresh, Laxman Aley and Hanumantha Rao . The exhibition was titled CROSSCURRENTS. The curators selected eminent Danish artists along with young and promising Indian artists to blend experience with youth.

The Gallerie has planned to hold a number of shows to celebrate its tenth anniversary at the new premises at 102, DT Mega Mall, DLF City, Phase – I, Gurgaon.
