SoHo art gallery is proud to announce American artist Jack Sal's upcoming solo exhibition from April 12 to 17th, 2011 at our gallery in Osaka.
Mr Sal, a world renown visual artist and writer, who has participated in the Venice Biennale and whose works are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and dozens of other leading art institutions and private collections around the world.
Jack Sal is based in New York and summers in Piedicolle-Collazzone(PG) in the Umbria region of Italy. He also maintains a studio in Cologne, Germany. Jack Sal has exhibited widely in both Europe and the United States including the one-person exhibition entitled Project/Projekt organized by the Museum Ludwig Cologne and currently on view at The Museum Am Ostwall, Dortmund.
Mr Sall will be presenting a new series of sumi and silk tape paintings exclusively at SoHo. This exhibition is part of Mr Sal's return to Japan and will take place concurrently with his solo exhibition at Roonee 247 gallery in Tokyo and his installation De/Portees at the Kyoto Museum for World Peace.
