Location: Indexg
Artist(s): Harvey CHAN
Date: 19 Oct - 6 Nov 2011

"Unspoken Poems of Sense" is a series of work with acrylic ink on Naplese Lotka hand made papers. The works represent the state of mind of the artist, through the stories in a fantastical world of winged figures, sensual figures and organic forms. The minimal narrative with personal symbols in the pictures are part of the process of the artist to investigate the sensual realm of human, animals and nature.

Harvey Chan has been working as an illustrator since 1982. His clients include many major publishing companies, magazines, and design firms across Canada as well as the United States. Harvey has been commissioned by the Royal Canadian Mint and The Canada Post for various projects. He is perhaps best known for the two series of coin design about Chinese Horoscope for the Mint.

In recent years, Harvey has been exhibiting his fine art at galleries in Canada, Korea, and Japan.
