Imura art gallery is pleased to present "Yasuko Iba exhibition -resonance-". Known for her amazingly graphic depictions of cushions, sofas, fruits and porcelains which are close to one, she shoots them with available light and then she depicts using the images of photos.

She expresses a close atmosphere itself, not the inorganic world like hyperrealism. Her texture and light evoke the memories and five senses of viewers. Her work resonates with viewers and gives lingering depth to views.

Born in Kyoto, in 1967, Iba has exhibitied continuously. Her works in this decade were currently on view at the Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura: Whereness of Brilliance. And her recent works were exhibited at SHISEIDO GALLERY, Tokyo: TSUBAKIKAI 2009 Trans-Figurative. The stoic posture of the artist who searches for the expression of light and texture is widely evaluated. She will show at the National Art Center, Tokyo in this December: DOMANI.
