Born in 1983, Shimode graduated from Kanazawa College of Art. Currently, she works in Komatsu and announces her art pieces in Kanazawa, Tokyo and Kyoto. During studying in college, she received the prize from Shell Art Award.
Such as twins-like girls in a forest, a buried girl with many other things and fallen boy in grass, Shimode has drawn the works observing the world from the other side. With vivid color and fine brush stroke, her work expresses loneliness of today.
The new exhibition will feature her new works under the theme 'backyard.'
