Tanaka has worked an abstract painting in his own way constantly, which is started from landscape or other motives, to geometric composition, a painting based on improvisation or contingency, multiple layered independent scenes, or repeating fragmentary description projecting previous art piece. 
With the theme of 'Sphere of Activity', this exhibition is a challenge for new expressions beyond genetic continuity or spatiality of 'Chaospective'. Tanaka's works are always gradual, and involve a possibility to evolve, so that they have an element of 'semantic incompletion'. Not staying in a field of painting, Trying to embrace a concept of music or application of digital technique tells that he always requires new motive and starts making progress. Thus, in this time, medium-sized and small-sized works will be displayed, rather than larger one, which means that he wants to expand the scope of his thinking to abstract and conceptual field, beyond considering extensity relating to physical size, and logics behind composition or technique.
