ignore your perspective 16 'Art Builder at Work'
by Kodama Gallery Kyoto
Location: Kodama Gallery Kyoto
Artist(s): GROUP SHOW
Date: 20 Oct - 24 Nov 2012

This exhibition is about four artists attempt to explore new concept or subject with using art as a tool.
Sugimoto is the artist trying all-round expression but for the solo exhibition, he composes the diversity harmonized in a space. His art work is formed by vary dimensional expression on plane and combined installation and performance, which looks like having a special principle.
Sekiguchi is well-known through organized display at the past exhibition 'Project N' at Operacity Art Gallery in Tokyo and 'A Mask' at Kodama Gallery Tokyo. He shows fundamental skepticism about 'painting' and 'plane'.
The main motif of Tanaka's work is a building and he uses an encaustic. Eventhough there is unknown building, he can see it like a monument from his unique view, and expresses his impression as itself.
Wada usually works for the purpose of 'implementing an image'. Whether it is solid or flat, all his works are based on images in his mind. Thus, he applies solid modeling to plane work and vice versa, or makes an in between form.
