Graduated from Seoul National University and Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, the painter Zuyoung Chung exhibits new painting works expressing Mt. Bukak in Seoul. Each piece is different in terms of artist's movement or perspective. It means that painting is not a landscape in traditional meaning, but it's about the artist's sense reflected in the mountain. If brush marks on painting represent a symbol or indicator of encounter, the image of mountain created by brush is a trace of meeting for the artist and nature and the indicator of the artist's spirituality reflected in the mountain. Furthermore, those repetition of painting mountain is the trace of spirituality captured by time and space.
