Going back to his earlier practice largely defined by travel photography, Gilles Massot's new exhibition is in the form of a travelogue on the roads of a country much talked about but little visited. Over the last few decades, Iran has been the subject of many news headlines, at times for not quite the right reasons. Gilles' first hand experience of this country of paramount importance in humankind history resulted in a body of work that also grew from his more recent concern with the dialogue between reality and fiction underlying the photographic medium. The display of the works will be further enhanced by a soundscape specially created by Damien Lock.
