Bhagat Singh did M.F.A. in painting from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in 1992. In 1999, he held his first solo show at New Delhi followed by one in Triveni Gallery in 2000. Apart from his solo shows, he has participated in many group shows and workshops such as 1st All India Exhibition “Rendezvous”, Chandigarh in 1999. Bhagat Singh’s work is not just about beauty and bounty of Nature. It also attempts to reflect his concern for the environment.
