In this exhibition, Sharifah will showcase stunning acrylic artworks on canvas; while Rafiee will present his fantastical oil artworks on canvas.

Sharifah Fatimah Syed Zubir was born in Alor Setar, Kedah. She is the leading female abstract artist in Malaysia and has had more than 16 solo exhibitions as well as more than a hundred group exhibitions in Malaysia and abroad. Her works can be found in public collections owned by the likes of National Arts Gallery, the State Museum of Penang, and the United Overseas Bank Singapore. In the course of her extensive involvement in the field of fine arts, Sharifah Fatimah has won several awards and recognition. In 1976, she received the 'University Prize' from Reading University, the 'Pratt Studio Scholar Award' from Pratt University in 1977, the 'Salon Malaysia Main Prize' in 1979, the award of the 'Young Contemporaries' from the National Arts Gallery in 1981 and the British Council Fellowship in 1987.

Rafiee Ghani is a teacher, researcher and artist.  He is known for his colourful and sculptured figurative artworks and delicate melding of lines and spaces. Through his innovative blend of colours, lines and spaces, he has achieved a lyrical and fantastical style of painting which has been compared favorably with that of the French painter Odilon Redon. Rafiee has had more than 10 solo exhibitions in Malaysia and has won numerous accolades and awards for his works.
