It is a Chinese tradition to gather, feast and admire the beauty of the full moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival. In the spirit of this tradition, Artfolio presents 'Celebrating Asian Art', a group exhibition featuring five local Chinese artists' recent works that will rival the beauty of the full moon. Feast your eyes on the contemporary artworks by some of Southeast Asia's most prolific and innovative artists. Eng Tay exhibits oil, sculpture and limited edition hand-printed etchings revolving themes of music and love. Oh Chai Hoo's artworks are a power fusion of Eastern and Western fine-art traditions featuring Chinese calligraphic works and whimsical sculptures of rustic ceramics. Award-winning collage artist Tan Chin Chin's recent artworks explore the influences of juxtaposed cultures in a multi-ethnic society. Tay Bak Chiang showcases abstract interpretation of familiar forms. Cultural Medallion recipient, Thomas Yeo, presents abstract landscape series in acrylic and works in gouache expressing the peace and serenity found in the unspoiled countryside.
