Galerie Belvedere presents Singapore Pop Artist, Andre Tan's latest exhibition : "Idols and Icons". This stunning collection of works further examines the artist's obsession with mass consumption and popular culture by exploring the possibilities between text and images. Quotes and lyrics from our pervasive Celebrity Culture create a different visual language and urge the viewer to discover the subtle messages in the paintings.

About the Artist:

Andre Tan obtained his Diploma in Fine Arts from the Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts, Singapore in 2000. He continued to study at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University and obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art with Ist Class Honors in 2004. Subsequently, he obtained his Master of Arts in Fine Arts from Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts in 2006. His artworks are collected by private collec-tors in Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Singapore and the UK. His works have also been auctioned regionally.
