Over a storied forty-year career, Annie Leibovitz has become best known for her portraits of public figures. This exhibition, comprising thirty-eight large-scale prints in color and black and white, showcases a selection of her most enduring work. The subjects include Meryl Streep, Andy Warhol, Angelina Jolie, David Byrne, Julian Schnabel, Brad Pitt, Yo-Yo Ma, Carl Lewis, the Dalai Lama and Queen Elizabeth II.
The exhibition runs concurrently with Annie Leibovitz A Photographer’s Life 1990-2005, which is on view through October 19 at the ArtScience Museum at the Marina Bay Sands complex.
Annie Leibovitz’s works are in important collections worldwide and she has exhibited at museums and galleries including the National Portrait Gallery and the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC; the International Center of Photography in New York; the Brooklyn Museum; the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam; the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris; the National Portrait Gallery in London; the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg; and the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.
