Artist(s): GROUP SHOW
Date: 9 May - 9 Jun 2013

Johyun Gallery is pleased to announce the new group show by emerging young artists in the world.
Frech painter and photographer, Jacques Bosser places a painting in vivid colos and a black-and-white photo in juxtaposition with each other. His subject is a sensual and curvy body or cultural-political issue with dominant colors and brilliant style.
Aino Kanisto from Helsinki talks about her dream and memory, as well as surroundings, like novel, movie, and photo. A photo looks like a girl's ordinary life, but it hides violence, loneliness and depression.
Born in Tel Aviv, Elad Lassry works in LA now. After participating in 'Younger Than Jesus' Triennale at the New Museum in 2009 and Venice Biennale in 2001, she has started getting a big attention from curators and collectors, and not she focuses on photograph, sculpture and video installation.
Thierry Feus from Austria expresses fanciness Vienna arts has as a pictorial language. Beyond figurative and abstract paintings, he shows a natural scene with showy colors and scientific imagination on cavas. Adding lacquer for gloss, he gives a visual amusement.
Peter Zimmermann creates a mix of computer work and painting as using graphic algorithm. He works layered translucent colors and epoxy on canvas or building facades.
French artist Phillippe Cognee combines a photographic perspective and pictorial affluence, which has made him a representative artist of European new figurative painting since early 1980s. Concerning about how to reflect heritages of painting history in modern times, he paints contemporary images in creative beeswax painting technique. As mixing paint with beeswax and crushing painted images through an iron, the artist tries to express extinction of temporality.
Born in Miami, Hernan Bas is one of international famous young artists. His works are inspired by contemporary artists and art history and these are decorative and romantic. Especially, he uses works by Oscar Wilde, Irish writer, and reinterprets them in his artistic view. In his works, there is inner and delicate emotion trapped in modern times, where changes and anxiety coexist.
