Dr. Park Gallery as a contemporary art gallery opened in 2006 with the purpose of finding contemporary emerging artists and introducing them actively to the international art scenes.
The purpose was set in the course of running Dr. Park Collection & Gallery, the predecessor of Dr. Park Gallery, and it reflects the founder’s will to participate in art scenes more actively and creatively.

Dr. Park Gallery has two different goals intended to be accomplished at the same time. One is to hunt and introduce contemporary emerging artists to the international art scenes as a commercial gallery and the other is to develop into a private museum to realize the founder’s belief that artworks are public goods which has been held in the founder’s heart when he started collecting artworks since 1978.

Dr. Park Gallery is approaching to the goals by arranging various art exhibitions with different forms and themes and by participating in international art fairs like KIAF and Art Singapore.

Dr. Park Gallery will concentrate its ability on increasing its participation in the international art fairs and on promoting exchanges with overseas galleries and on helping Korean artists to be introduced more in the international art world.
