Since its inaugural exhibition, Seven Perspectives on Desire in September 2006, Gallery LVS (formerly Gallery LM, and ART SEASONS’ Korean outpost) has exhibited widely at home and abroad in order to give gallery goers the opportunity to experience the diversity of today’s contemporary visual arts.

Through exhibitions such as Vanitas (December 2006), Andy Warhol Simply Prints (March 2007), and Axel Krause in Leipzig (December 2007), ART SEASONS Seoul (Gallery LVS) has featured leading artists as well as the most promising young artists from all around the world.

ART SEASONS Seoul (Gallery LVS) will focus primarily on Korean artists, both younger, and also more established ones. Exhibitions such as Recto & Verso of Korean Hyper-Realism (May 2007), and From Korea (June 2007), have successfully introduced excellent Korean artists to both domestic Korean and international audiences.

In addition, through this partnership, ART SEASONS Seoul (Gallery LVS) will exhibit contemporary Chinese artists as well as various South East Asian and Indonesian artists. Yin Kun (March 2008) became the first Chinese artist to exhibit at ART SEASONS Seoul (Gallery LVS), this was soon followed by an exhibition titled Beyond Socialist Realism at the Chosun-Ibo Paper Museum (May 2008).

ART SEASONS is excited to add Seoul as another destination for the group. Seoul is a fast-paced, dynamic city brimming with artistic and creative potential. As the capital of Korea, Seoul is a regional financial hub, and one of the most important art centers in Asia.
