YOU Hyeonkyeong was born in Chungju, in 1985. She graduated from the College of Fine Arts, Seoul National University (SNU), majoring in painting. She is currently studying for her MA in the graduate school of SNU. She creates her own epic tales by using subjects such as human, man, woman and space and establishing situations of how and where they exist. You won a support program for emerging artists from the Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) in July, 2009 and held her first solo exhibition “Sonata of Passion” at the Insa Art Center. That same year, in October, the artist had another solo exhibition “Painter and Model” on a Hadongcheol scholarship at SNU’s Woo-suk Hall.
