Gahoedong 60 is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Hee Choung Yi, an artist who reinterprets emotion in folk painting with contemporary perspective. 

Hee Choung Yi Graduated Hongik University in 1979, and graduated at Düsseldorf Kunstakademie, Germany in 1991 with Master Degree, Meisterschuler. He had 12 times of solo exhibition in Germany at Gallery An Farina, Köln, 1989 and other gallries. He also had 23 times of solo exhibitions in Korea. 2005 Savina Museum, 2008 Dong San Bang Gallery, Seoul, 2009 Dong-won Gallery, Daegu, 2013 Gong Art Space, and Seorim Gallery in Seoul. On April 2014, he have a 36th solo exhibition at gallery GAHOEDONG60, Seoul, Korea.

Start with 1978, Korean Grand Art Exhibition at Deoksugung museum, Seoul, he have been 200 times of group exhibitions. He participated Miami, Tokyo, Beijing, Hong Kong Art Fair, KIAF and Seoul Art Fair. His artworks are collected in Düsseldorf Kunst museum, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Korea, Sung-gok Museum, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Korea, The Bank of Korea, UN and so on. Now he is a professor of Fine art, Arts & Culture College, in Yong In University.
