Gallery K.O.N.G is delighted to announce a solo exhibition by Michael Kanna, an English photographer best known for lyrical landscape photos of the world. After 'Philosopher's Tree' in 2011 and 'Tranquil Morning' in 2012, this is his third exhibition at the gallery. 40 new works photographed in China, Korea and Japan for two years will be featured.
Not only 'Shinan' series, photograph of islands in Korea, and 'Pine trees, study 3,' but 10 new works and Snow fence (2004) among Hokkaido series, one of most popular works by Kenna, will also be on display for the first time in Korea.
Many fans have wondered his way of working, monochrome and time exposure. To help people understand his methods, a video of his atelier and a process to print will be screened. Pursuing analogue photograph, "I am grateful for learning wait through limit and slowness of analog process, and such process is same as my belief as an artist," Kenna said.
